Work For Fees Program 2016
Short-Term Financial Assistance – Work for Fees Program
In 2016, the school can assist some parents to meet their fees commitment by exchanging skilled labour for short-term financial assistance.
Please note that the Work for Fees program is available to assist existing families requiring partial short-term financial relief against school fees.
Parents are paid as an employee and their payments are processed directly to their fees account. These arrangements may impact on an applicant’s Centrelink, Family Assistance payments, and other government benefits. Parents commit to a predetermined number of hours of work, in exchange for a reduction in fees, typically 20 to 30 per cent. New families are ineligible to apply.
This program cannot meet all requests and participation is determined through an application process. Applicants will need to address all of the criteria, detailing skills that can be provided, such as grounds and workshop maintenance, cleaning, bus driving, library book repairs, events, pre-school lunch relief, audio technician etc.
Interested parents need to return an application to the office by Monday, December 7, 2015. The Application Form is available for download from this page or can be collected from the office reception. Applicants may be asked to attend an interview and may be required to furnish additional supporting documentation.
Each application received by the due date will be comprehensively and competitively assessed against the criteria. While the school will do its best to meet the needs of families, not all applicants will be successful. The outcome of these assessments will be final and not subject to further discussion or comment.
We will endeavour to provide an indication of the amount of assistance granted to successful families by December 18, 2015.
